New York Matches is a series of gouache illustrations that capture iconic elements of New York City by drawing visual parallels between people and their surroundings. Each piece explores poetic and unexpected connections, highlighting subtle harmonies between subjects and the urban landscape.

This project was exhibited at the SVA Flat Iron Gallery in Manhattan (July 2019) and was later selected by Arto On Link. The illustrations were featured for a month on 182 active digital totems spread across the city, becoming part of New York’s visual landscape.
